Iwakura Hiromasa (岩倉広雅)

Hiromasa IWAKURA (1746 - October 31, 1769) was a retainer of Imperial Court during the middle of the Edo period. His father was Takamasa UEMATSU. His foster father was Naotomo IWAKURA. Tomokazu IWAKURA was his adopted son (from the Yanagiwara family).

He inherited the line of the Iwakura family from his older brother, Naotomo IWAKURA, becoming the head of the Iwakura family. He served the Imperial Court during the reign of Emperor Momozono, advanced to Jibu taifu (a senior assistant minister of the ministry of the civil administration) at the rank of Jushiinoge (Junior Fourth Rank, Lower Grade), and died in 1769. Died at the age of 24.

Tomokazu IWAKURA, the son of Mitsutsuna YANAGIHARA, was adopted and inherited the line of the Iwakura family.
